Day 5 Slice of Life

Day 5

Here I am on Sunday afternoon with a killer headache.  I am starting a 21 day sugar and carb fast tomorrow and just reading about it, I think I’ve given myself a migraine.  I’m really nervous about it.  I have a lot of health problems and definitely need to lose weight so I’m excited at the same time, because I have got to get control of my body again.  It’s completely out of control right now!

So I still need to look at the book to see what I am eating for at least tomorrow, then I’ll deal with the rest of the week.  I know that with  eating whole foods comes a lot of preparation so I’m really praying this headache goes away so I can focus.  So any well wishes and prayers you want to send my way I would greatly appreciate them.

Until tomorrow…

  2. I'm sorry for your headache! Any way you can start a little slower? Extremes are hard to maintain. I have weight to lose too. My school is doing a weight loss competition with another school... we all put in $20 and the school with the most percentage of weight lost wins all the money. In a way, it's awesome because everyone is talking about healthy food and encouraging each other. It's hard because I gained last week and feel like I let everyone down. I wish you lots of luck with the new plan.

    1. Thank you for stopping by and I know extremes are hard to maintain and that is why I am a bit nervous. That is really cool what you and the other school are doing. Oh I hope you really don't feel that you let everyone down. Life happens and things happen and we just have to do the best we can. Thank you and I wish you luck with the weight loss too!

  3. Sugar/carb fasts are great resets. One thing that helped me to was to double/quadruple recipes and freeze some servings of food so that all I had to do was reheat and eat!

    1. That is a great idea...I need to do that...whatever makes things easier is what I'm all about, especially when it comes to food prep. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I truly appreciate it.

  4. Good luck with your fast! I've been sugar-free for two months now (it was a first for me) and so far I love it. It's about time to reintroduce some foods and I find myself resisting, because I enjoy living without the cravings, something I thought I'd never ever say. The first few days were the hardest for me. Drink a lot of water and keep going! You've got this!!

    1. Oh wow good for you! I would love to say that I enjoy living without the cravings, that would be amazing, lol. Today turned out to be a total disaster because I didn't prepare last night. So we are giving this a go tomorrow (Tuesday). Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I appreciate it.

  5. Good luck! I just found out I'm allergic to yeast, and a bunch of molds, etc... and I'm on a 3 week no yeast, no sugar diet. . . I'm about 5 days in... I've done sugar free before, but only added sugar free... This 3 weeks is no fruit either... so it's not super fun. Hopefully I'll feel good when I'm done with the 3 weeks, and ready to add in a few other foods! I'm looking forward to hearing about how it goes for you!
