Not my Goliath for Bible Study Group

There are several giants in my life right now:

·        * My Physical Health
·       *  My Children Having Some Issues
·      *   Finances

My physical health is really bad right now, and it is my primary focus.  I’m trying not to let it consume me and take over my entire life.  I have severe pain and it’s hard for me to do basic things around the house, let alone anything extra.  This is the prayer I prayed the other morning, and I wrote it out and have it posted in my house:

“Lord I truly believe that you are sovereign and capable of handling my problems.  I surrender my health over to you.  Whatever your will is may that be done.  Help me to accept whatever is to be the outcome regarding my health.  Lord I put my trust in you and I know that you know what is best for me and I praise you and thank you.  Amen.”

I will meditate on this prayer when I see it and trust God.  He knows what he is doing.  I just give my health problems to him and I have to accept that he is in charge and he has a plan.

  4. Hi Shannan,
Remember that God is your healer. He doesn't ever want us to experience sickness, illness, or disease. The enemy brings those things on us. When Jesus died our sins died with Him. When he rose again his power was put into us. We each of the ability to heal just as Jesus healed all of the people who came before him requesting that He heal them. God's will is not for you to suffer. If you believe in your heart that Jesus can heal you then you will be healed. There is POWER in laying hands on someone.

Mark 16:18 “And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

I know I am not there with you now but please allow me to pray with you.

Extending my hands out to you, Shannan:
    Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you on behalf of Shannan today, Lord. She is experiencing so many pains and health issues. We rebuke these pains, we nail these pains and health problems to the cross. We believe in your healing and in your promises. Please give Shannan the endurance, patience, and perseverance while she waits on you, Lord. Give her the wisdom to understand your timing. We pray for her full recovery in Jesus' name. Amen.

    God bless!

    1. Michelle thank you for your prayer for Shannon. I am praying this for myself and Shannon.

Shannon, I too suffer daily from pain. I love your name, had I had a daughter I would have named her Shannon. We have a God who loves us and calls us his daughter. He who began a work in us will complete the work. His grace and strength is sufficient to meet our needs daily. I am praying for you. Love always Diana
